Why we built this.
A small team of volunteers, working out of homes and classrooms across Belize. We made this because we needed it ourselves β and because no family should have to figure it out alone.
It started with a question.
"Where do I even begin?"
Almost every family with a child who learns differently has asked it. We built this so the answer can be: right here, in your own time, in your own language, free.
What this is — and isn't.
This is a place for short, useful lessons on safety, inclusion, school partnership, and family wellbeing. It is not a diagnosis tool. It is not a substitute for a doctor, a therapist, or your child's teacher. It is what we wished we'd had on the harder days.
Every lesson is short. Every quiz is gentle. Every page is written like a friend who has been there.
Volunteer built. Always free.
No subscriptions, no ads, no upsells. We share this platform with families, schools, and community groups across Belize at no cost. If you'd like to help us add more lessons, or you have a story we should know about, get in touch.
Three commitments.
-
01
Plain language, kind tone.
No jargon, no judgement. If a sentence reads like a textbook, we rewrite it until it sounds like a friend.
-
02
Made for the lives we actually live.
Rainy season. The bus to school. The fishing village. The classroom with thirty kids. Our examples come from here.
-
03
Accessibility is the foundation.
Larger text, high contrast, easier-read font, read aloud, keyboard everywhere β available on every page, not buried in a settings menu.
Caye Win — with help from many.
Caye Win builds digital tools for organizations doing real work in Belize. This hub is hosted, maintained, and continually improved at no cost to the families using it. If your school, NGO, or church group wants to add lessons, point families here, or co-author something, write to us.
